Our Story
Two beloved brands under one roof.
The South Side Cafe is a neighborhood coffee shop on Parsons Ave in the south end of Columbus — a cozy spot for a slow morning coffee and a welcoming brunch or lunch destination. We pour regular and Colombian coffee, an assortment of healthy holistic teas, and a lineup of drinks and pastries.
Under the same roof, we feature Papi's Doghouse Hot Dogs — a fresh take on classic and gourmet dogs with our own unique toppings. Premium coffee, gourmet hot dogs, and a vibrant atmosphere. That's the whole idea.

John Peck — the guy behind the counter.
"I'm John, the primary owner of The South Side Cafe — I have two partners in the coffee shop — and I'm also the sole owner of Papi's Doghouse Hot Dogs. That's why the two businesses work in unison."
